Head of Primary

Our Citipointe Christian College Community comprises three important groups of people – our students, our parents and our staff.  Each is vital to the educational process as it takes a community to educate a child.

In the Primary school, we see our role as being part of the journey to enable and equip our students to become caring, confident, Christian believers who will take their God-ordained place in our community well prepared to meet the demands of adult life.

Caring for others above ourselves is the cornerstone of our Christian faith.  Socialisation skills, emotional intelligence and an understanding that we are all created in the image of God lay the foundation for encouraging our students to hold appropriate attitudes and display positive behaviours in their interactions with others.

Our students need to be resilient – well able to handle success and failure – for their confidence to develop.  Risk taking is required to attempt new things or continue to try when faced with difficulties or challenges.

We aim to develop children who are committed to excellence in academics, the arts, sport and relationships, through diligence and hard work.

Research has shown that children whose parents are involved in their child’s education achieve at a higher standard more consistently.  We appreciate the many who work in partnership with us in the educational process by ensuring their children are well-equipped, well fed, well rested and ready for their school day.

Each staff member has been prayerfully considered and is a member of our school community because we believe that God has them here for His service and their development.

Our desire is to see every student flourish.  Our programs are designed to provide our students with a wide variety of opportunities to explore and develop. We want to be characterised by our diligence, our caring and our innovation as well as our discipleship of the precious lives in our care.

I look forward to working with you to develop your child to be their God-given best.
